I was attuned to Reiki in 1997.  When I learned as a Reiki practitioner about working with the chakras and their colors, I realized what I had always liked about rainbows.   Reiki has given me more than I have ever imagined--love, light, healing, compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, kindness, joy, peace and most of all, the passion to teach it, to be of service.  Reiki has given me the realization that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

    Because of Reiki I have been interested in crystals, shamanism, numerology, astrology, native American ways, and religions.

    When I was attuned to Second Degree Reiki, I was in a bookstore and I discovered a book called Rainbow Reiki by Walter Lubeck.  Of course, since I loved rainbows I bought it, read it right away, and realized that everything I had previously read and desired to practice was in Lubeck's system.  I loved how he put all the concepts together.  To my disappointment, Lubeck taught the system only in Germany.  I recall thinking, "Well, someday...!"

    In the meantime, I became a Usui Reiki master teacher.  It is always a wonderful experience to teach and learn from the students, and watch them blossom.

    In 2003, as I was reading the Reiki News Magazine, I read that Walter Lubeck, the founder of Rainbow Reiki, was coming the U.S. to teach his first Rainbow Reiki class.  I sent in my registration fee right away, and I decided not to worry about where the rest of the money for the class would come from.  I had faith that I was meant to go, and that it would be taken care of.

    The class was held one week after my birthday.  It was the first time ever I had driven out of state by myself, into new territory.  It was scary, and at the same time exhilarating, that I was doing this by myself. It was the best present I have gotten in my life, to be in the class and have the honor to meet Walter Lubeck and students from all over the U.S.  I made many wonderful friends there.

    Now I am a licensed Rainbow Reiki master instructor and licensed Rainbow Reiki professional practitioner.  It is a blessing to be on this path that has taught me, and keeps teaching me, to be in the here and now with responsibility, love, light, service, peace, joy, acceptance, forgiveness, compassion, faith, healing and optimism.  I have also learned to realize that we are one, to allow each persons' beautiful individualism, honor everyone's life experience, and that there are many paths too.  Following our own unique, inner guidance in joy, love, and light.  Remember it's the journey not the destination!  Looking forward for what comes next..!!!

    Life is good!  We are love!  All is well!
